Aragami ss9/22/2023 ![]() ![]() One guy goes out with a girl and dates her. With all that said, why is the rating on the story so low? Because the story is simple. One can argue that the events happen too quickly, but like I’ve said, the pacing doesn’t feel like a problem in all honesty, and it’s the smoothness it offers that really elevates the show. Is the story without flaws? Of course it isn’t. Seems legit right? The fans of Amagami SS were screaming on top of their lungs for the sequel, as one of the girls didn’t finish exactly how she was supposed to, and second season made up for it big time. It’s purely about the events that are happening after the finish of each arc, meaning that it’s about the future of each couple.Only 13 episodes long, with 2 episodes for each girl and 1 devoted to hot spring bath and focusing on his sister (there is no incest in the series). The story is basically the same thing, except : Of course, one could wish there was more episodes, but nonetheless it is done really well. There is nothing wrong in containing a romance in 4 episodes, as long as you know how to do it properly. It’s the total opposite, they are just fine. With this series, MC picks every girl, just in different arcs, making us, the viewers, enjoying it that much more, since the girl we liked wouldn’t necessarily be picked if it followed the standard harem pattern.Įven though the arcs are only 4 episodes long, they do not feel rushed. With most of the harem shows around, MC either picks no one, or chooses one before the rest. What Amagami SS, and it’s sequel Amagami SS Plus, does, it creates an opportunity for the viewer to be satisfied with the ending. When the arc ends, the story gets reset back two years, after Junichi got stood out, and he has a chance to meet another girl. ![]() In a way, you could say it’s a harem anime where every girl wins. What does that mean? The show is split into 6 arcs, each 4 episodes long. What separates it, and in my opinion makes it so amazing, is that it’s kept in a dating sim game style. With that premise, Amagami SS would seem like a typical romance show. Soon enough, Junichi will find himself romantically involved with Haruka Morishima, a person he would never have imagined. He feels like he’s finally ready to ask girls out again. Junichi since that day spent his days inside his closet planetarium, going to school and hanging out with his friends. Now, he is a second year student in high school. Two years before the start of the story, Junichi Tachibana got his heart broken by a girl who stood him out on a Christmas Eve date. I’ve decided to squash them both into a single review, because I feel that this way I do the show justice. Quick Note : This review will be about both seasons, since the second season is a direct sequel, containing 2 episodes/girl, it’d be pointless to talk about it as a standalone or simply a sequel.
